Riley's Baptism

Riley was baptized on May 1 2010. It was such a special day. Grandpa Dean, Kolby and Marcie and the kids all came up to be here with him. So we had a fun weekend swimming in their hotel pool as well. I was able to give a talk on the Holy Ghost, which was special for us all. Our best friends the Hydes and Droegemuellers, as well as Luke Pope and the Douglasses were all able to be there. Needless to say there were many little children gathered around the font! Riley is such a good example to all of them. We are so proud of him and his choice to be baptized. Then, as a very nice ending to a good weekend, on Sunday in Sacrament meeting, Elder Hallstrom of the seventy was attending our ward. After the meeting he came straightway and gave Riley a hug and told him how proud he was of him! It was so neat! It sure was a wonderful weekend!

Chad was able to baptize him. Very special.

Me and my boy! How we all love this little man. We are so happy he's our oldest son and brother.

  1. Thank you for letting us come to Riley's baptism! I can't believe he is old enough for it yet! I think I am in denial about how fast the kids are growing! And I thought your talk on the Holy Ghost was great!

  3. What a special thing for your family.

Those are wonderful pictures that Riley will cherish -- one with his dad, and one with his beautiful mother on his baptism day. You are so beautiful, Jessica. Really.

But beyond that, Riley is lucky to have such a wonderful mom who knows what are the best gifts to give her kids. I can tell how much you love them and what a joy it is to you to be their mother and it brings the spirit to my heart.

  4. Oh so special. So wish we could have been there. Riley is such a good, kind, sweet boy. We love him very much, and he is a good example to be the first of all the cousins to be bapized as well. :)

  5. HOLY COW do you ever look like your mother in the the picture with Riley!!! I had to do a double look Jess!

We are happy for you and your family to celebrate Riley having his Baptism. We are even more excited to have you living up in Calgary with your family. However it seems that it is the "Christmas morning" that just won't come.

we hope everything is still working out so that eventually you find your way up here. Love you so much and miss you.
